Biography

William Karam is a New York based photographer whose portfolio spans over thirty years, beginning in his native Louisiana and in France.

Although William is more well known for his fine art work and silver gelatin prints, he has also had the opportunity to work with world renowned architects, designers and retail giants. Clients such as Target, Inc., one of Americas largest retail giants, and the venerable American icon, Brooks Brothers have chosen William for special events photography. He was recently the featured photographer for Target stores’ mascot English Bull Terrier, “Bull’s Eye.” Even city creatures have come before his eyes. Two prized “gifts” that appeared before William's lens were the famed red-tailed hawks of Fifth Avenue.

William has exhibited his work in New Orleans, Fire Island, North Carolina, France, and New York, including at the National Arts Club. His photography appears in the recently published "Into the Pines Kitchen" for the Fire Island Pines Arts Project.

William published a landscape and architecture book in September, 2007 entitled "Fire Island Treasures, A Photo Graphic Journal" and a new book will be published Spring 2009 entitled "Louisiana, Back Roads & City Streets," UNO press.

William currently resides in New York City.
